Changes...

...in Wells, Somerset. Britain's smallest city is having growing pains. It's a lovely place, and I hope they can preserve its charm. (I was married there.)

Another 5-star at Amazon!

Thank you to "mukianna" for your review! I appreciate the good words so much. This is the kind of thing that keeps an indie author going!

"Really great storyline with believable characters, especially towards the end when the fantasy characters come into play so smoothly
that you hardly notice they're fantasy! I give this book five stars because its the kind of book I would usually avoid like the plague but ended up enjoying very much. To my absolute shock, I didn't want it to end!"

New, thrilling chapter one!

For To Save the Realm! The scene is the death of Brock's Aunt Marcy on the hillfort, Abbott Edge. The chapter is more exciting than the previous first chapter and lays out some of the themes of the story.

To Save the Realm in the News

I wrote an article for the MidSomerset News which will appear in four Somerset newspapers! including the Wells Journal and the Shepton Mallet Gazette. The piece talks about To Save the Realm and its connections to Somerset. Nice pic of South Cadbury hillfort. Pic of me was taken in Old city Java.

Another 5-star at Amazon

Thank you to Alan Burnes for his 5-star review of To Save the Realm at Amazon. Here is what he had to say:

It takes a special art to blend great appreciations of rock and roll, late 50's in the American south, rural England and interaction with the fae and make it all work. If what you are looking for is a conventional thriller / shoot em up then pass this by. I savored this over several days and had great difficulty putting it down. Always the question "What is going on and what does it mean?" I look forward to the next installment and will definitely buy it.

A story on McIlhenny's tobasco sauce. The ingenuity of people amazes me. McIlhenny's owns just 20 acres of land on Avery Island, Louisiana, and produces about $2 million a year of hot sauce. They can bottle 700,000 bottles a day.
